This year has already been a monumental one for our families, clients, and organization. From beginning our in-home Autism services, to growing our service family, to the icing on the cake – receiving our BHCOE Accreditation.
That’s right, ABC Pediatrics is now a Behavioral Center of Excellence!
This has been a great honor for ABC Pediatrics, but we understand that you might have questions. Such as, what is BHCOE Accreditation? Why is this a big deal? And what does it mean for you?
We want to stay true to our core values and purpose by educating our community not only about ourselves, our services, and Autism Spectrum Disorder, but also on relevant accreditations and what they mean to you.
We also want you to celebrate this wonderful news with us. So, please read on and learn what BHCOE Accreditation means to us, our values, and to our community!
What is BHCOE Accreditation?
BHCOE stands for Behavioral Health Center of Excellence and it is an international accrediting body created to meet accreditation needs specifically for behavior analysis.
BHCOE Accreditation requirements are regularly reviewed at high, international standards in order to grant accreditation to organizations that directly work with behavioral health and behavioral analysis.
More directly put, a BHCOE Accreditation is a certification given to applied behavior analysis providers when they show that they meet the highest standards of care. Furthermore, in order to continue their BCHOE Accreditation, they must meet an assortment of clinical and administrative standards determined by an independent third-party evaluator.
A Little BHCOE History
BHCOE Accreditation began as a five-year project to provide information about quality assurance for behavioral organizations, and transparency for their futures. It has since grown into the international Quality Assurance Standards and BHCOE Accreditation Program.
Additionally, since BHCOE’s official establishment in 2015, over 6,900 consumers have been surveyed and 8,375 staff have been surveyed. In 2017, only 57% of organization’s had a first-time pass rate.
And ABC Pediatrics is proud to be in that number this year.
What is a Center of Excellence?
A center of excellence is an organization that values clinical quality, staff satisfaction, and parent satisfaction while providing the highest quality of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) services.
This accreditation is earned, not given freely, as providers are evaluated on a number of measures related to their clinical quality of work and satisfaction.
In addition, BHCOE Accreditation shows that the organization meets the highest standards of clinical quality and has been verified by a third-party. This means that our newest accreditation isn’t an advertisement, or one company claiming that they are the best – this is earned by being the best, not just saying that you are.
A Center of Excellence is an organization that respects its employees and clients, cares about their feedback, and is able to learn internally in order to better serve their community.
ABC Pediatrics is so honored and thrilled to be a Center of Excellence for you and your family.
What Does This Mean for You?
ABC Pediatrics being BHCOE Accredited means that you and your family are receiving the very best services, care, and treatment planning. It means that we understand each child and each family is unique, and that there is no ‘one-size-fits-all’ treatment plan for ASD or behavioral difficulties.
It also means that ABC Pediatrics has been recognized for our services, organization, and high standards. You might already know our values, services, and standards, but with our BHCOE Accreditation, we can share our knowledge and experience with our community at large.
We want to educate, to assist, and to serve our community, and our BHCOE Accreditation will greatly aid us in reaching out to every child, every family, and every individual looking for information or treatment.
